  • Completed all requirements for high school graduation
  • Gained acceptance into a 2-year or 4-year college/university, career training/apprentice program, or military service
  • Traveled with Explorer Adventures for at least two summer seasons
  • Participated in 5 or more LIFE 101 modules
  • Secured at least $5,000 in education scholarships

Jacqueline R. Brayboy

Brayboy Scholars is named in memory of the late Jacqueline Brayboy. Jackie was a passionate friend to Great Explorations from the moment of its conception. She valued healthy family relationships, life learning opportunities, and accessible education all as keys to unlock doors to a multitude of opportunities. She was a supportive wife, nurturing mother, and an exceptional teacher. The Great Explorations family misses her dearly and counts it a privilege to continue her legacy of a life well-lived by equipping Explorers to do the same.

Great Explorations does not promote or restrict participation to those who ascribe to a certain set of religious, social, or cultural beliefs. However, the essence of what we do is rooted in the Christian principles of love and developed character and in the acknowledgement of spirituality as an essential factor of being human.
